Here we will post trips dreamed up and designed by our senior guides. These are Alaska Wilderness Expeditions that, to the best of our knowledge, have never been done before. The trips might range from moderate to extremely strenuous, but one thing you can be sure of – your guide will be at least as excited to be on the trip as you will be!
If you are interested in joining our senior staff on one of their adventures, please contact us. Pricing will depend on time-frame and number of people. These trips will be priced on the low side in an effort to encourage exploration, adventure and the dreams of our most accomplished guides!
We can also design custom Alaska adventure trips to meet your exact needs and desires. Please contact us if you don’t see exactly what you are looking for and we’d be happy to get together an itinerary and quote just for you.

We offer half and full day adventures in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Glacier hikes, river rafting, historical tours, ice climbing, fly-in hikes and ice cave exploration – we’ve got outdoor activities to fill one day or 5. Our day trips are based in McCarthy and Kennecott, the heart of the largest national park in Alaska.
Want to get out and hike in true wilderness, but not up for the challenge of carrying all your gear on your back? No problem. Our base-camp hiking trips are accessed by a bush plane that drops us off deep in the park. We then hike a short distance from the airstrip and set up a camp from which to explore the surrounding area for 3-4 days.
There is nothing quite so satisfying as traveling through remote wilderness on your own two feet, carrying everything you need on your back. Wrangell-St. Elias National Park is a spectacular playground. Be prepared to test your abilities with no trails and rugged terrain, and to be rewarded with stunning views and magnificent landscapes around every corner.
Cover hundred of miles through remote wilderness from the comfort of a 16 foot raft! Rafting is the perfect way to enjoy the splendid scenery of Wrangell-St. Elias without being limited by what you can carry on your back. You’ll float past calving glaciers and magnificent waterfalls, spot wildlife along the shores, and eat delicious fresh food each night.
Want to hone your climbing skills or summit a peak that’s never before been climbed? Wrangell-St. Elias is home to 9 of the 16 tallest peaks in North America and infinite diverse and technical terrain. SEAG offers mountaineering trips and courses including peaks of all levels, courses from beginner to advanced, and first ascents trips for the ultimate exploration.
Only in Alaska can you ski year-round and get epic powder late into the spring. We offer ski trips and ski mountaineering courses starting in late April through the end of June. Hone your skills, get some turns, admire the magnificent Alaska scenery as your backdrop. We even offer a “first descents” trip for those who want to do something truly new and exciting.
St. Elias Guides can combine multiple activities with lodging and transportation to create the ultimate Alaska Adventure Vacation. Just let us know what you are looking for and we can provide a suggested itinerary to make your dreams come true!
